FLOGEN Stars Outreach is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sustainable development through science, technology, and engineering. Each year, FLOGEN organizes the Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit (SIPS), an international event bringing together scientists, engineers, industry professionals, policymakers, educators, and students to exchange ideas and develop solutions for sustainable development.

SIPS incorporates three major sustainability pillars: (1) Science, Technology & Industry, (2) Governance & Management, and (3) Education & Civil Society. The summit features numerous international symposia covering areas including energy, advanced materials, manufacturing, mining, recycling, environmental protection, sustainable industrial processing, mathematics, nanotechnology, education, governance, and other scientific and technological fields.

SIPS 2026 will take place at the Rio Othon Palace, Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 30 – December 3, 2026.

Position Overview

FLOGEN Stars Outreach is seeking Sustainability Outreach & Green Innovation Coordinators to support the promotion, sponsorship outreach, partnership development, and organization of SIPS 2026.

The ideal candidates will be interested in sustainability, science, technology, innovation, event management, business development, and community outreach. Coordinators will have the opportunity to communicate with organizations, companies, universities, researchers, industry professionals, and other potential partners while helping support the organization of an international sustainability-focused conference.

This position is particularly well suited for someone who wants to gain practical experience in sustainability outreach, sponsorship development, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, communications, and non-profit operations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Excellent English, both written and spoken
- Strong interest in sustainability, green innovation, STEM, and sustainable development
- Strong interest in working in a non-profit environment
- Interest in event management, conference coordination, outreach, and partnership development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable communicating professionally with companies, organizations, universities, researchers,



and potential sponsors
- Ability to conduct online research and identify potential sponsors, partners, and organizations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, spreadsheets, or similar tools is an asset
- Experience in sales, marketing, business development, fundraising, sponsorship outreach, or event planning is an asset
- Familiarity with sustainability, ESG, green technology, clean technology, or STEM industries is an asset
- Previous experience working with a non-profit organization is an asset

ResponsibilitiesSponsorship & Partnership Outreach
- Research and identify potential sponsors and partners whose activities align with sustainability, science, technology, engineering, education, and green innovation
- Build and maintain lists of potential sponsors, companies, organizations, universities, government organizations, and industry partners
- Contact potential sponsors and partners by email and other appropriate communication channels
- Assist with preparing sponsorship and partnership outreach materials
- Follow up with prospective sponsors and maintain professional communication
- Help identify opportunities for sponsorship, collaboration, promotion, and in-kind support
- Track outreach activities, responses, meetings, and follow-ups
- Assist with maintaining relationships with existing and prospective partners
- Research organizations and funding opportunities that could support student participation and sustainability initiatives

Event Organization & Coordination
- Assist with planning and coordinating SIPS 2026 activities
- Support the organization of conference sessions, meetings, presentations, networking activities, and other events
- Assist with communicating with speakers, participants, sponsors, universities, and partner organizations
- Help prepare schedules, contact lists, event documents, and organizational materials
- Assist with registration and participant coordination
- Support event logistics before and during the conference
- Help coordinate communications between different teams involved in the event
- Assist with identifying and resolving organizational issues as they arise
- Provide general administrative and organizational support to the SIPS team

Sustainability & Green Innovation Outreach
- Research emerging sustainability technologies, companies, initiatives, and organizations
- Identify opportunities to connect SIPS with Canada's and the international sustainability and green technology communities




- Help promote discussions around sustainable industrial processing, clean technology, environmental protection, and innovation
- Research potential speakers, organizations, academic institutions, and industry representatives
- Assist in developing outreach campaigns focused on sustainability and green innovation
- Support the development of relationships between FLOGEN and organizations working toward sustainable development

Communications & Content
- Assist with creating qualified outreach emails and communications
- Help develop promotional materials for SIPS 2026
- Assist with social media and digital outreach campaigns
- Help prepare newsletters, announcements, and other communications
- Assist with updating information related to sponsors, partners, participants, and events
- Contribute ideas for improving FLOGEN's outreach and engagement strategies

Work Requirements

Applicants must have access to their own computer and a reliable internet connection to perform the duties of this position. This includes:

- A reliable desktop or laptop computer suitable for professional administrative and communication work
- A stable, high-speed internet connection
- Access to standard productivity and communication software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- The ability to participate in online meetings and communicate professionally by email and video conferencing
- The ability to organize, store, and manage project documents and spreadsheets
- The ability to install and use required software updates and collaboration tools as needed

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, professional, and passionate about sustainability and innovation. They should be comfortable reaching out to new organizations, conducting research, communicating with potential sponsors, and working as part of a team.

This is an opportunity to gain practical experience supporting an international sustainability conference while developing skills in sponsorship outreach, business development, event coordination, communications, and green innovation.

Pay: From $32,000.00 per year
