Continuous Improvement Co-op

Job Summary The Continuous Improvement Co-op will play a key role in supporting and accelerating various continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data for plant studies and daily performance monitoring
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and to drive improvement projects
- Support and lead improvement initiatives within the plant
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to the senior leadership team
- Identify and prioritize high-impact improvement opportunities using AI-driven analytics (forecasting, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition) combined with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Validate and refine data-driven insights and direct observation to ensure operational relevance.
- Monitor and continuously improve process performance using real-time KPI tracking and feedback loops.
- Leverage AI copilots to accelerate analysis, documentation,
and experiment design, applying critical judgment to validate outputs
Key Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Engineering or related post-secondary program
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI and data manipulation
- Abilities to leverage AI in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities
- Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with the ability to apply them in combination with data-driven and AI-assisted insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and departments
- Comfortable working both on the production floor and in an office workplace
- Proactive, hands-on approach to tasks and challenges
