Morriston Park is seeking a dependable and service-oriented full-time Cook to join our dietary team. This is a hybrid position that combines cooking responsibilities with Dietary Aide duties. The successful candidate will prepare and serve high-quality meals, assist residents during meal service, and help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining environment.
Qualifications
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Proof of Immunization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Experience working in a long-term care or healthcare setting is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the Food Services Manager and/or Administrator.
- Prepare and serve meals according to standardized menus, ensuring portions, texture, temperature, and timeliness meet requirements.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Follow established policies, procedures, and work assignments.
- Set up and prepare items such as beverages, salads, and desserts.
- Take meal orders from residents as needed
- Set dining tables and prepare tray service as required.
- Clean dishware and cutlery after each meal seating.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Check and serve residents according to their special diet orders.
- Take inventory of food and supplies as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service education sessions, and workshops.
- Ensure compliance with fire, safety, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Risk Management programs, including audits and reports.
- Maintain professional and accurate record-keeping/documentation.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to promote a healthy work culture

- Pay Rate will start from $22.84 per hour after probation period of 375 hours it will be $24.51 per hour
