Position Overview
Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with an established Winnipeg-based arts and cultural organization to recruit a Corporate Partnerships Officer. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused professional who enjoys connecting with people, developing new business opportunities, and building meaningful corporate partnerships.
The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play an important role in growing corporate sponsorship and fundraising opportunities. This position is well suited for someone with experience in sales, business development, account management, sponsorship, fundraising, or another relationship-driven environment. An excitign opportunity where no two weeks look exactly the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective corporate sponsors and partners.
- Identify and pursue new corporate sponsorship and fundraising opportunities.
- Proactively reach out to prospective sponsors and organizations to introduce partnership opportunities and build new relationships.
- Make cold calls and initiate conversations with prospective corporate partners in a professional and confident manner.
- Work with internal teams to understand sponsorship opportunities and develop creative ways to engage potential corporate partners.
- Assist with developing sponsorship proposals, presentations, communications, impact reports, and other materials.
- Coordinate sponsorship commitments, recognition, benefits, and deliverables to ensure partners receive a positive experience.
- Maintain accurate records of corporate relationships, communications, sponsorship activity, and commitments within CRM and other tracking systems.
- Coordinate and support sponsor events, receptions, activations, and other opportunities to engage with corporate partners.
- Attend select evening and weekend events throughout the year to support sponsor relationships and engage with corporate guests.
- Research Winnipeg’s business and corporate community to identify potential sponsors and new partnership opportunities.
- Stay informed on local arts, business, community, and fundraising trends to identify creative approaches to corporate engagement.
- Bring new ideas and take initiative in identifying opportunities to grow corporate support and sponsorship revenue.
- Work closely with the Development team and internal stakeholders to support broader fundraising and development initiatives.
- Support special projects, campaigns, and other development activities as required.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, fundraising, sponsorship, account management, customer relationship management, or a related field.
- Experience developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients, customers, donors, or corporate partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to pick up the phone and initiate conversations.
- Comfortable with cold calling and proactive outreach to develop new business or partnership opportunities.
- Professional, outgoing, and personable approach with the ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple relationships, deadlines, and commitments.
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative without requiring significant day-to-day direction.
- Creative and resourceful, with the ability to think outside the box when identifying new sponsorship and fundraising opportunities.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional proposals, presentations, and correspondence.
- Experience with sponsorship, fundraising, nonprofit, arts, culture, or entertainment organizations is considered an asset.
- Experience with CRM systems is considered an asset.
- Genuine interest in Winnipeg’s arts and cultural community.
- Willingness and availability to occasionally work evenings and weekends for events and sponsor engagement opportunities.
Rewards
- Salary range of $55,000 – $70,000, depending on experience.
