Collabera is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support a major investment-platform transformation, which is moving the organization toward Aladdin as a front-to-back investment platform. The transformation includes integrating trade and investment data into Aladdin, modernizing 150+ custom reports and approximately 15 custom solutions, and building out a data platform to move data from Aladdin into Snowflake for reporting, analytics, and downstream applications.

This is a senior-level role for someone who can build, integrate, and provide technical guidance rather than simply execute assigned development tasks. The successful candidate will work across data engineering, investment platforms, and technical teams to build reliable data pipelines, integrate investment data, understand data architecture, and identify opportunities to improve existing processes. The client is looking for someone who can work independently and bring lessons learned from previous investment-platform or capital-markets data implementations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- The Senior Data Engineer will design and build data pipelines and integrations supporting investment-platform transformation, working primarily with SQL-based data sources and technologies including Python, Snowflake, Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and Prefect.




- They will help move and transform investment data from platforms such as Aladdin or other comparable investment systems into the Snowflake environment, ensuring data is fit-for-purpose for reporting, analytics, custom reporting, and downstream solutions.
- The engineer will work closely with Business Analysts, business stakeholders, technical teams, and an external integration partner to troubleshoot data issues, trace data and code when required, contribute to data architecture decisions, and provide technical recommendations.
- They will also be expected to challenge existing approaches where appropriate and bring best practices from prior investment-data platform implementations.

Must-Haves:

- 5+ years of senior-level Data Engineering experience, ideally within capital markets, asset management, pensions, or investment environments
- Strong SQL and Python experience with hands-on experience building data pipelines and data integrations
- Strong Snowflake experience, with experience working in Azure environments including Azure Data Factory and Azure DevOps
- Experience with investment platforms such as Aladdin, Charles River, SimCorp Dimension, Eagle Pace, RiskManager,



or comparable buy-side / pension investment platforms
- Strong ability to work independently, communicate with technical and business stakeholders, and provide technical guidance on data architecture and integration solutions

Plusses:

- BlackRock Aladdin experience, particularly experience integrating or extracting investment data.
- Experience with Prefect or similar workflow orchestration tools
- Experience supporting front-office, trading, back-office, FX, derivatives, investment operations, performance, or risk data
- Experience building or modernizing an investment data platform or similar data infrastructure
- Data lineage experience, including tracing data through SQL, stored procedures, or downstream systems
