Toronto

Takeda is hiring a Data Products Manager in Toronto, Canada to bridge global data and analytics capabilities with local business needs. The role involves scaling enterprise data products, conducting requirements discovery and business analysis, developing dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring data quality and governance, and translating analytics outputs into actionable insights for stakeholders. The position requires 5-7 years of experience in analytics, business analysis, or related roles, with strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge preferred.

Data Products Manager

Location: Toronto, Canada

Reporting to: Head of DD&T;, Canada

About The Role

As the Manager, Data Products, you will enable Takeda Canada to realize greater value from enterprise data products by translating global capabilities into practical local impact. You will connect global data and analytics teams with Canadian business stakeholders to drive adoption, strengthen decision-making, and help embed a more data-driven culture across the organization. You will also serve as the LOC's hands-on requirements-discovery partner — investigating the underlying business problem (whether data, process, or technology) before a solution is shaped — so that demand is well-framed and investment is directed at the right root cause.

How You Will Contribute

- - Support scaling and adoption of global data and analytics products locally, with accountability for I4I (Invest for Impact) implementation and scaling, Customer Experience Index (CEI), Todai/Next Best Experience enablement and scale-up.
- - Run local onboarding activities: prepare local datasets, validate global product compatibility with local data, support user access/setup, and provide first-line troubleshooting.
- - Lead hands-on requirements discovery and business analysis (solution-agnostic). Partner with local functions to investigate and frame the underlying business problem before a solution is chosen — eliciting needs, mapping current-state process and data flows, identifying root causes, and determining whether the issue is best addressed through data, process, or technology.

- - Produce clear problem statements and option assessments with trade-offs rather than pre-selected solutions, working through the Tech & AI Partner's intake and routing each need to the right delivery path.
- - Contextualize analytics outputs with local business realities. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to interpret dashboards and models, verify assumptions, reconcile discrepancies, and translate outputs into locally meaningful, actionable insights.
- - Design and develop scalable, automated, user-friendly reports and dashboards using modern BI tools such as Power BI; maintain dashboard ecosystem in close coordination with Marketing and Commercial Operations teams; perform quality checks.
- - Partner with Data Excellence and cross-functional teams to ensure data products meet foundational data quality, governance, and security standards — including data sourcing, cataloguing, contracting, and access controls.
- - Partner with ICC/GCM for scalable delivery. Ensure that DD&T; data products and services are delivered by ICC/GCM delivery teams, support the organization through interpretation of analytical outputs, collect feedback, and recommend improvements.

What You Bring to Takeda
- - University degree in a relevant field such as data analytics, computer science, information systems, business, or a related discipline.
- - 5-7 years of experience in roles that bridge business and data — for example analytics business partner, data or analytics product owner, BI/analytics business analyst, or analytics/operations consultant.
- - Pharmaceutical or other regulated-industry experience strongly preferred.
- - Hands-on business analysis and requirements-elicitation skills — structured problem framing,

stakeholder interviews, current-state process and data mapping, root-cause analysis, and option/trade-off assessment across data, process, and technology solutions.
- - Demonstrated experience localizing or scaling enterprise data products (e.g., MMM, promotional analytics, scenario simulation) in a commercial context.
- - Hands-on working knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), data modelling concepts, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- - Strong ability to interpret and contextualize advanced analytics outputs for non-technical business stakeholders.
- - Ability to partner effectively with data engineers and data scientists to translate local needs into scalable solutions.
- - Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial and medical data ecosystems (e.g., IQVIA, Rx data, patient/PSP data, claims data) and underlying data structures.
- - Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and product backlog management.
- - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- - Growth mindset with openness to feedback, continuous learning, and adapting quickly in a changing environment.
- - Operates with a product mindset: iterates based on user feedback, measures adoption, and drives continuous improvement.
- - Builds collaborative networks across functions and geographies; influences without authority to drive alignment and action.

Compensation And Benefits Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $158,400 CAD

Benefits May Include

- - Short-term and/or long-term incentives
- - Subsidies for fitness and internet
- - Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- - Basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D;) insurance
- - Participation in the Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP); company match into a Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP) if eligible
- - Short-term and long-term disability coverage
- - Annual vacation entitlement, additional paid time off, and company holidays
