Responsibilities

View English and Inuktitut version

- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in childcare play areas, activity rooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Dust, clean, and disinfect all surfaces and high-touch areas, including tables, countertops, shelving, cubbies, windowsills, toys, and play equipment
- Empty garbage and recycling and maintain a tidy environment
- Clean and sanitize play areas, activity spaces, rest/sleep areas, washrooms, kitchen, and common areas
- Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and janitorial products
- Follow all safety procedures, including the protected use of cleaning products
- Support enhanced cleaning during illness outbreaks and high-use periods
- Participate in training as required
- Other related duties as required

Qualifications

- High school diploma
- 1 year of experience




- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in a childcare setting
