The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, automating, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications. This role combines systems administration, automation engineering, and build-and-release expertise to support scalable, reliable, and secure software delivery. Build and maintain complete environment stacks, including microservices, databases, and production infrastructure.
Create scripts and templates to provision and manage AWS and Azure services supporting custom Java and .NET applications. Analyze operational methods, integration tools, monitoring solutions, and support processes to improve efficiency and system stability. Collaborate with software developers, vendors, and support teams to evaluate software, hardware, tools, and operational processes.
Generate operational, trend, and statistical reports to support infrastructure performance and decision‑making. Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery solutions that support business continuity and availability requirements. Participate in the design, evaluation, and implementation of infrastructure‑related technologies and solutions.
Stay current with emerging cloud, deployment, monitoring, and support technologies. Coordinate infrastructure support activities involving onsite, remote,
and offshore contractors. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. ~4+ years of IT experience, including at least 1 year working with AWS in a team‑based development setting. ~ Experience deploying cloud‑based applications within AWS environments. ~ Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible. ~ Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools including Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. ~ Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. ~ Working knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python, Perl, PHP, or Ruby. ~ Experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, or GitHub Actions. ~ Strong understanding of IT operations supporting highly available, always‑on services. ~ Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Experience working for or supporting equipment suppliers in the electronics or semiconductor industries. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (typically less than 10%).
