This position supports the strategic actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:As the Head Custodian, your responsibilities are:Ensure divisional buildings and properties are safe and in clean condition.Lead and supervises custodial staff.Administrative tasks.Maintenance tasks.QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):- High school graduation certificate or equivalent training/experience is required.Must hold a valid 5th Class Power Engineer License. (from the Province of Manitoba)o Internal candidates willing to obtain certificate within six (6) months from the date of hiring will be givenconsideration if there are no qualified candidates.Completion of Respect In School or equivalent training is required.Minimum 2 years previous custodial/cleaning experience is required.1-2 years of previous experience supervising staff is required.Knowledge of WHMIS, Workplace Safety and Health, Fire Safety, is preferred.Knowledge of codes and regulations affecting building systems in school facilities is preferredSuperior communication and organization skills.Ability to respond effectively to the public and school staff.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to read and write English as well as understand simple instructions, diagrams, and procedures to fix and installequipment for regular repairs.Ability to organize, prioritize,
