The Granite Club is looking for a full time eighteen-month contract Digital Content Specialist who will be creating high-performing email campaigns and managing a multifaceted website. The Digital Content
Specialist reports to the Communications & Creative Director and works in close collaboration with the fun and energetic Communications Team. We're looking for a tech-savvy communicator with an aesthetic eye who truly takes pride in the details. You'll be the go-to for our Member website and anything digital.

Primary Responsibilities
- Digital content curation: Use various software and content management platforms to maintain and publish high-quality content on digital properties including website, social media, app, digital signage, touch screens, intranet; ensure the Member website is a consistent and reliable source for all Club information, events, and news
- Email campaigns: Design and deploy messaging and promotions; manage database
- Web maintenance: Ensure website follows design, development, navigation, and usability/UX best practices; troubleshoot technical issues; act as primary contact for website vendor; build surveys and forms; and more
- Visual branding: Select and edit photos, video, graphics, and other media; ensure all visuals reflect brand identity; participate in redesign initiatives for website and digital signage
- Technical support:
Provide professional and friendly customer service and technical support to Members and fellow Employees
- Copy editing: Supporting the Communications Lead, edit and proofread copy for website and email campaigns; maintain accuracy, consistency and context; ensure all copy reflects brand identity
- Analysis: Build measurement systems into all projects and report on campaign success; analyze current trends and adopt new strategies to increase views, ensure continuous improvement, and provide optimal Member experience

Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree or diploma in digital content, communications, or related field
- Experience: 4 to 6 years hands-on professional experience in a related field
- Web savvy: Extensive experience with content management systems and email campaign platforms; basic HTML/CSS; strong familiarity with web design and development principles, usability/UX and web best practices; troubleshooting
- Software savvy: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat); Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Forms); Asana; Google Analytics; Sprout Social; ability to learn new software quickly
- Social media savvy: Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube, LinkedIn; experience creating and deploying strategic and engaging content; strong understanding of individual platforms and evolving best practices
- Creative savvy: Keen eye for visual aesthetic and branding; technical skills for creating and editing photography and graphics
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency; and this bullet point excites you, rather than scares you
- Organizational skills and time-management; multitasking; process-driven and highly accountable with experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Writing and language skills:
Copy editing and proofreading
- Curiosity and resourcefulness; you love to research, learn, and problem-solve
- People skills: Exemplary interpersonal and customer service skills; positive attitude and demonstrated success liaising with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and externally
- Digital signage experience an asset
- Extra points: Graphic design; article writing; videography; photography; motion graphics; hospitality industry experience; Olympic-level curling skills to help our team win the next Employee tournament
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm with some variance; occasional after-hours work required
- Hybrid work model with 3 days in office with Club-wide preassigned days.
Compensation The salary range for this position is $54,000 to $70,000.
