Job #: Senior Program Manager- Lead Client: Big 5 Bank Location: Hybrid; 1-2 days a week in Toronto Terms: 12 month contract, with opportunity of extension based on budget and performance Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Location: Downtown Toronto, 2 day/week onsite + 1 Friday Job Overview Lead, plan, drive, and coordinate activities to develop a comprehensive data strategy to the next phase of a program. Looking for someone to lead a team of 5 and drive the program across the enterprise as they launch more offers and integrate with new platforms. Key Responsibilities Take ownership and lead the project managers for a multi‑workstream program. Develop, document, and deliver the data strategy and data enablement, including detailed project plans, roadmaps, and recommendations. Coordinate project activities across various teams and stakeholders including status updates and presentations tailored to both technical and business audiences. Consult with users, management, vendors, architects, engineers, and enterprise data teams to assess data analytics needs and functional requirements. Lead interviews and workshops to capture business and technical needs, document interview summaries and requirements matrices. Define current and future state (i.E., processes, data flow, tools, architecture). Engage with department heads and other leaders to solicit cooperation and resolve issues. Lead the development of an operating model and participate in staffing decisions for data‑related initiatives.



Evaluate solution proposals from technology partners and vendors to assess project feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives. Required Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of program and project management experience, with a focus on Data Strategy and Data Transformation. Manage a portfolio between $30‑$50 million. Proven experience designing and implementing data strategy programs and projects. Adept at translating complex data concepts into actionable plans and explicit documentation. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, cost management, and techniques for maximizing the effective development of data strategy and enablement. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven change‑management skills related to programs and transitions to business as usual. Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Preferred Skills/Assets Experience with large‑scale data and analytics initiatives in financial services.
