The Director of Engineering oversees all technical teams and ensures that research prototypes become robust, scalable platforms.

Responsibilities

- Lead engineering teams: Manage software and hardware engineering teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop engineering strategies: Design and implement scalable strategies for software development, infrastructure, and integration.
- Ensure compliance: Verify that engineering projects comply with internal policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
- Hire and retain talent: Lead recruitment of engineers, provide mentorship, and develop career pathways for technical staff.
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with research scientists, product managers, and other directors to align technical efforts with organizational goals.
- Update policies and processes: Continuously improve engineering processes, including code quality, security standards, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record managing engineering teams and complex technical projects.
- Expertise in software architecture, DevOps practices, and infrastructure planning.
