About the Role

Shift Energy Group is a growing Canadian solar EPC company seeking an experienced Director of Operations to help lead the organization through its next stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior leadership position focused on translating company strategy into execution. The Director of Operations will bring greater structure, accountability, and alignment across the business while ensuring the company has the people, systems, processes, and leadership required to scale successfully.

We are looking for a business operator and organizational leader, not simply a construction or field-operations manager.

**Experience leading operations within a field-service, construction, HVAC, solar, renewable energy, or related technical environment.

**We’re particularly interested in leaders who understand field-based teams, scheduling, installations, service delivery, safety, customer experience, and scaling operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with the CEO to translate company strategy into explicit priorities, operating plans, and measurable results.
- Lead and align company-wide operations across project delivery, people, systems, resources, and infrastructure.
- Establish clear accountability, decision-making authority, performance expectations, and operating rhythms across the organization.
- Assess the organizational structure and build the leadership capacity required for continued growth.
- Develop and monitor company and operational KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities early.
- Work closely with Finance to improve forecasting, profitability, cash-flow planning, resource allocation,



and overall business performance.
- Ensure sales commitments, operational capacity, project execution, and financial objectives remain aligned.
- Lead improvements to business processes, systems, technology, and cross-functional communication.
- Provide the CEO with clear visibility into company performance, priorities, capacity, and operational risk.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including senior operational or business leadership.
- Experience leading and scaling a growing organization, business unit, or significant operating function.
- Robust commercial and financial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and resource planning.
- Demonstrated ability to build organizational structure, processes, accountability, and high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to turn plans into measurable execution.
- Experience working closely with CEOs, owners, or executive leadership teams.
- Experience in construction, engineering, renewable energy, electrical contracting, or another project-based business is an asset.
- Degree in business, engineering, construction management, operations, or a related field is preferred.

You are equally comfortable discussing strategy with the CEO, reviewing financial and operational performance, developing leaders, and stepping into difficult business challenges when needed.

Pay: $135,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
