The Asset Management Branch with the Department of Public Service Delivery is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to work in Selkirk, Manitoba.

The Asset Management

Branch is responsible for operating and maintaining safe, quality and sustainable working environments and to ensure the efficient operation and good stewardship of government buildings and assets.

Duties

Reporting to the District Property Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple construction, facility, maintenance, and capital projects for the district,



client departments, Special Operating Agencies, and other government organizations. The position provides project leadership from planning and design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable policies, standards, and legislation. The incumbent works closely with senior government officials, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to support district infrastructure and facility objectives.

Qualifications

Essential

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a field relating to construction project management including architecture, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Significant experience managing construction, facility, maintenance, or capital projects.
- Knowledge of budgeting, financial controls, procurement, and contract administration.
- Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Written communication skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities and meet strict deadlines.




- Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of codes, legislation, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Emergency response and business continuity.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Conditions of Employment
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be willing and able to travel
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5F Manitoba Driver's Licence
- Must be able to lift/carry 0-10 kg (0-22 lbs)
