Elk Island Public Schools is recruiting a part time (0.532 FTE) Division 2 Teacher at Westboro Elementary. This assignment will teach Grade 5 CORE subjects for 5 periods per day, Monday to Friday. Scheduling will be 9:02am - 12:02pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 8:56am - 11:26am on Wednesdays.

Westboro Elementary serves approximately 245 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 14 teaching staff and 20 support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
