Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate detailed technical drawings and specifications for the fabrication and installation of façade systems
- Create both manual and CAD (computer-assisted design) drawings, specifications, and material quantity listings based on conceptual drawings and 3D models
- Verify that designs fulfil aesthetic, structural, and performance criteria
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, and projects managers, to incorporate façade designs into overall building plans
- Research and choose suitable material for façade construction, considering durability, sustainability, and compliance with building codes
- Incorporate sustainable design principles into façade systems, addressing aspects such as energy efficiency, environmental impact, and the use of renewable materials
- Interact with clients to comprehend their design preferences, requirements, and feedback
- Create building information models (BIM), using computer software,
to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of buildings and other engineering projects
- Create detailed drawings that specify the dimensions, tolerances, and other technical information needed for fabrication
- Develop a bill of materials that lists all the necessary materials required for fabrication and installation and ensure accuracy to guide the fabrication process
- Draft Requests for Information (RFI) and send to Project Coordinator for submission to contractors
Qualifications:
- Completion of a two-to-three year college program in architectural technology or a related field
- One to two years related experience Knowledge and Training:
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills
Working Conditions:
- Office, frequent sitting, hand dexterity
- Full time permanent position
- Occasional extended hours may be required to meet the needs of the business from time to time
Pay: $58,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
