PigRun Solutions is growing, and we’re looking for a hands-on Electronics Production Technician to join our team in Ottawa.

This is a practical, hands-on role supporting the production, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of our electronic products used in the pipeline inspection and tracking industry.

What you’ll be doing:

- Assemble electronic products, PCBs, wiring, connectors, and enclosures
- Perform soldering, rework, and component replacement
- Program and configure electronic devices
- Test completed units and perform quality-control checks
- Troubleshoot electronics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other lab equipment
- Read schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Build and test cables and wiring harnesses
- Identify production issues and work with our engineering team to resolve them
- Maintain accurate production and testing records
- Support inventory, product preparation, and final packaging when required
- Help improve our production and testing processes as we continue to scale

What we’re looking for:

- College diploma in Electronics Engineering Technician/Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field
- Equivalent hands-on electronics production experience will also be considered
- Strong soldering and PCB rework skills
- Comfortable troubleshooting electronic hardware




- Experience using common electronics lab equipment
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed production and test procedures
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or product development is highly preferred
- IPC soldering certification or experience is an asset

Experience:

Ideally 2+ years of relevant hands-on electronics production, assembly, testing, or repair experience.

Compensation:

Starting pay is $19.50/hour, with opportunities for salary increases based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and performance.

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Important: This is a 100% in-office, hands-on position. Remote work is not available.

We are specifically looking for candidates who currently live in Ottawa or the surrounding area and are able to commute to our Ottawa facility. Candidates who are not currently located in Ottawa or the surrounding area will not be considered for this position.
