Dr. Vetamin began as a one-veterinarian mobile practice and, in less than three years, has grown into a 24/7 Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Hospital offering an expanding range of advanced and unique veterinary services.

We are looking for an Emergency Veterinarian who wants to grow with us.

Advanced Hands-On Training & Mentorship

This position is designed for veterinarians who want to strengthen their emergency skills while developing advanced procedural capabilities.

In office training and mentorship opportunities include:

- Abdominal ultrasonography
- Echocardiography
- Upper GI endoscopy
- Advanced soft-tissue surgery
- Emergency and critical care procedures
- Toxicology case management

Training is hands-on and case-based, allowing you to develop these skills while managing real clinical cases.

You will also work directly alongside the only board-certified veterinary toxicologist in Eastern Canada, providing a unique opportunity to develop advanced expertise in the management of toxicologic emergencies.

Surgery & Anesthesia

- Two fully equipped surgical suites
- Electrocautery
- Mechanical ventilation, including capability for open-chest procedures
- Advanced surgical instrumentation

Emergency & Critical Care

- 24/7 emergency and hospitalization services
- On-site oxygen generation system, providing a continuous oxygen supply for oxygen-dependent patients
- Advanced patient monitoring and critical-care capabilities

Transfusion Medicine

- On-site blood bank supporting both canine and feline patients
- Packed red blood cells
- Fresh frozen plasma
- Platelet products
- Cryoprecipitate and other plasma products
- Albumin




- Access to an expanding range of specialized blood products

Advanced Diagnostics & Procedures

- Abdominal ultrasonography

Minimum Qualifications

This is NOT an entry-level or new-graduate position.

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

- Hold a General Veterinary Licence in Ontario
- Have a minimum of one year of clinical experience working as an Emergency Veterinarian in North America
- Have experience independently assessing, stabilizing, diagnosing, and managing emergency small-animal patients
- Be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced emergency and hospitalization environment
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, communication skills, professionalism, and commitment to high-quality patient care

Important: Candidates who currently hold or require a Restricted Veterinary Licence are NOT eligible for this position. This position requires the veterinarian to be able to practise independently without direct veterinary supervision.
