Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Technician to join our dynamic team dedicated to environmental stewardship and sustainability. In this role, you will play a vital part in collecting, analyzing, and managing environmental data to support research initiatives, regulatory compliance, and ecological conservation efforts. Responsibilities
- Conduct field data collection including soil, water, air quality, and biological samples using standardized protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD to map, analyze, and visualize spatial environmental data for project planning and reporting.
- Perform laboratory analyses on collected samples, applying proper techniques to generate reliable results while maintaining safety standards.
- Analyze environmental datasets using data analysis skills in Python or other relevant tools to identify trends, anomalies, or areas of concern.
- Support research activities by reviewing scientific literature, assisting with experimental design, and documenting findings thoroughly.
- Operate mechanical equipment related to environmental sampling or site maintenance with mechanical knowledge to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members on research projects,
providing insights based on data collection efforts and technical expertise.
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience working with environmental samples or conducting scientific experiments is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or GIS platforms like QGIS is essential for spatial analysis tasks.
- Strong data collection skills coupled with the ability to analyze complex datasets using Python or similar programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD for creating detailed site plans or technical drawings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of horticulture practices or ecological restoration techniques enhances your ability to contribute effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating sampling equipment or site maintenance tools is a plus.
- Demonstrated research experience involving environmental studies or ecological assessments will support your success in this role.

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
