Purpose The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for ERP implementation at the site, ensuring alignment between corporate ERP strategy and plant operations by supporting business process optimization, user enablement and training, cross functional collaboration, and successful IFS system deployment. This is an onsite position based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
Business Unit Consultation &
- Support Support the respective functional domains throughout the ongoing IFS ERP implementation, ensuring all activities align with the final goal of successful system commissioning.
Serve as the primary liaison between corporate teams and plant users, communicating site requirements back to the corporate team.
Collaborate closely with various business units to gather information, understand their unique requirements, and meticulously map current business processes.
Serve as an internal consultant, guiding business units to best leverage IFS functionalities to optimize operations and achieve objectives. IFS System Expertise &
- User Support Develop a deep and comprehensive understanding of the IFS ERP system, including its core functionalities, modules, and integration points.
Serve as the primary point of contact for end-users within assigned business units, assess user requests and issues and provide expert guidance to IFS-related inquiries and challenges.
Proactively identify, analyze, and triage issues from users, assess their scope and impact, and provide guidance or escalate the issues to the corporate team for further evaluation, collaboration, and potential system enhancements, ensuring consistent communication throughout the process.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales,
Supply Chain, Finance, Shared Services, and IT to support ERP implementation. Training &
- Knowledge Transfer Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive, engaging training programs and materials tailored to the specific needs of various user groups.
Conduct hands-on training sessions for new users and provide ongoing education on recent IFS functionalities, process changes, and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and self-sufficiency among IFS users, ensuring high adoption rates and proficiency. Cross-Plant Standardization &
- Collaboration Actively communicate and collaborate with other ERP specialists across different plants and locations to share knowledge, best practices, and ensure consistent system utilization.
Support the standardization of IFS configurations and processes across all plants to minimize reliance on customized software/platforms. Qualifications The successful candidate will possess: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in an IFS environment is considered an asset. Strong understanding of business processes within a manufacturing or similar operational environment.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and influence users at all levels.
Ability to gather business requirements, coordinate multiple priorities, and drive implementation activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing issues and identifying root causes.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
