Purpose:

Reporting to the Dean of the Schulich School of Business, the Executive Officer (EO) is the chief non-academic administrator for the School and provides strategic direction and operational oversight of non-academic services. Key areas of focus include financial planning and budget management, human resources leadership, academic resource planning, strategic enrolment management, policy development, communications, facilities and infrastructure management, information technology oversight, and special projects.The EO plays a central role in strategic planning and operationalization, working closely with the Dean, Associate Deans, Chairs/Directors, and senior academic and administrative leaders to support the achievement of Schulich's vision, mission and strategic priorities. The role advises the Dean on policy and procedural matters, guides continuous improvement and change management initiatives, and champions a student- and client-centered culture of engagement, equity, diversity, inclusion, and high performance.The role represents the School on institutional committees and connects with senior administrators across the University.

The EO is accountable to the Senior Executive Officer in the Provost & Vice-President Academic Office for compliance with Divisional administration matters including Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and Facilities.





To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with specialization in Finance, Management, HR or IT.

Experience:

7 years of related experience in a University, post-secondary environment, including project management experience, an extensive knowledge of the academic environment and faculty culture, an understanding of application of the strategic planning, policy development, approval and implementation processes, and experience managing large and complex financial, human, and physical resources, including analysis, modelling and reporting.

5 years senior management experience in a unionized environment.

Experience developing and supporting collaborative partnerships across internal and external partners.

Experience in managing a centrally accessed service supporting numerous, complex service recipients.
