About the Role The Finance Manager is a hands-on role that owns the complete finance function for Eggs Canna Group. This includes full ownership of the monthly close, preparation of the financial statements and management reporting pack, management of the outsourced bookkeeper relationship, inventory seed-to-sale reconciliation, multi-entity accounting, and financial oversight of payroll.

The successful candidate will roll up their sleeves, review transactional work, and ensure the books are clean, timely, and audit-ready every month.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Statements

- Own the monthly financial close process end-to-end
- Prepare the financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L;, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statement of Cash Flows)
- Prepare the management reporting pack for senior management team
- Perform general ledger, multi-entity, and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare non-routine balance sheet schedules (debt, capital assets, prepaids, accruals, etc.)
- Own monitoring of working capital and the cash conversion cycle
- Prepare and present 13 week cash flow forecast

Inventory
- Own the inventory “seed-to-sale” reconciliation between CertiCraft and QuickBooks Online
- Review and oversee basic inventory / COGS postings into QBO

Bookkeeper Oversight & Transactional Accounting
- Own the relationship with the outsourced (or internal) bookkeeper
- Review AR, AP, bank and credit card reconciliations, and month-end workpapers prepared by the Bookkeeper
- Ensure AP/AR processes are accurate, timely, and well-controlled

Tax, Regulatory & Compliance




- Own CRA reporting responsibilities (excise, GST, payroll taxes)
- Review GST and PST filing preparation
- Support income tax preparation

Payroll Oversight & Controls
- Provide financial oversight and reconciliation of payroll
- Own systems and access control for finance systems
- Maintain business process documentation and financial records

Support Activities (as capacity allows)
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support commercial and supply chain finance activities

Requirements
- CPA designation (required)
- 5 years progressive accounting / finance experience, with demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial statements
- Solid command of QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments preferred
- Comfortable with hands-on execution as well as review and oversight
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience in regulated industries (cannabis, manufacturing, or similar) is an asset but not required
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Health Canada Security Clearance is an asset

- Clean, timely monthly close with minimal rework
- Accurate financial statements and management package delivered on schedule
- Reliable inventory bridge between CertiCraft and QBO
- Effective oversight of the bookkeeper with clear accountability
- Strong partnership with the Fractional CFO and operational leaders

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
