- Business owners considering succession, a future sale, or how to reduce concentration of wealth in a single illiquid asset
- Clients frustrated by advisor turnover or a transactional relationship at a large bank or wirehouse, looking for continuity and genuine engagement
- Our clients value broad diversification, low-cost investments, and a straightforward approach focused on a long-term view.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of client-facing advisory experience in wealth management or related financial services business
- CFP® certification preferred; candidates with equivalent experience and a demonstrated planning orientation will be considered
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Established or demonstrable professional network within the Portland/Vancouver metro area
- Ability to develop recent client relationships independently and in partnership with the firm
Preferred Expertise
- Retirement and income planning — helping clients transition from accumulation to distribution, including Social Security timing, drawdown strategy, and tax-efficient income sourcing
- Complex compensation and business income — partnership structures, deferred compensation, practice ownership, and pre-liquidity event planning
- Integrated tax and estate planning — working alongside CPAs and estate attorneys to deliver coordinated, proactive advice across a client’s full financial picture
- Investment planning and portfolio strategy — translating client goals and risk tolerance into clear, coherent investment plans in partnership with the portfolio services team
- Family wealth and legacy planning — engaging both spouses and, where relevant, the next generation in meaningful financial conversations
Salary and Benefits
- Expected base salary for this role is $120,000 - $165,000 per year, based on experience and fit, with a performance-based bonus.
- Our employees enjoy a competitive compensation and benefits package, including 100% paid employee medical (includes vision) premiums, 401(k) plan with employer contribution after a year, PTO that increases with tenure in addition to sick time, additional paid holidays, and early office closure every Friday.
- We encourage and support our employees in pursuit of CFP and CFA programs.
- We recently completed an expansion of our office and are excited to share our beautiful new space with clients and our team. Our centrally located, Columbia River waterfront office provides an exciting place to work, and we enjoy regular team outings around the Portland–SW Washington area.
- This position is in-office 5 days a week and is not remote.
