Fitness Equipment Repair & Maintenance Technician

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Fitness Equipment Repair & Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of commercial and residential fitness equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers, strength equipment, and functional trainers.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Install, assemble, relocate, and disassemble fitness equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
- Diagnose and identify necessary replacement parts required to complete repairs.
- Educate customers on proper equipment use and preventative care.
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
- Represent the company professionally while working at customer locations.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Experience with fitness equipment repair is an asset but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, motors, belts, bearings, and hand/power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service appointments.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and moving heavy equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check (if required).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in equipment maintenance, mechanical repair, HVAC, automotive, industrial maintenance, or a related trade.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience using mobile service software or work order systems.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
