VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Garage Door Installer Apprentice to join our growing Overhead Door Division. This entry-level position is designed for someone who wants to develop practical skills, build a long-term career, and learn a specialized trade through paid, hands-on training. Working alongside experienced installers, the successful candidate will learn how to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial overhead door systems.

Previous experience is not required—just a strong work ethic, mechanical interest, and willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

- Assist with the installation of residential and commercial overhead doors
- Learn to install door panels, tracks, springs, hardware, openers, and safety equipment
- Support experienced installers with service, maintenance, and repair work
- Measure openings and follow installation instructions and specifications
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and installation equipment
- Load, unload, and organize doors, materials, tools, and hardware
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites




- Provide skilled and respectful service to customers
- Follow company procedures and all health and safety requirements

What You’ll Bring

- No previous garage door experience required
- Interest in mechanical work, construction, or skilled trades
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Comfortable using or learning to use hand and power tools
- Able to perform physical work, lift heavy materials, and work at heights
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Construction, installation, mechanical, or general labour experience is an asset
