Our client, a leading Tier 1 manufacturing supplier is looking for an Environmental Specialist to join their teamNOTE: Role based in Guelph, ON (Preferred) with travel required to additional facilities in OntarioRESPONSIBILITIES:Implementing and administering standardized Environmental processes to ensure compliance to Federal, State, Provincial and Local regulations as well as Corporate Policies and ProceduresContribute to the achievement of world class status and corporate savings by eliminating occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and environmental impacts, including the implementation of various activities that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives.Prepare and present reports to various levels of staff (upper management to lower level) plus also to different outside entities.Ensure day to day compliance with environmental regulations including MOE, NPRI, CMP, ECA, etc.Coordinate all regulatory issues and communication with the EHS leadWork with EHS Lead to adopt and implement appropriate FCA Safety protocols and procedures (SMI’s, ETI’s etc.)Respond to and investigate environmental incidents in accordance with SEB-613. Determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporate EHSConduct regular audits of EHS processes and systems (waste collection, manifesting,



etc.)Ensure environmental controls are established and maintained for all key equipment and processesREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Science or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of Safety, Environmental, Engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of Federal, State, Provincial and Local regulations and requirementsStrong presentation skillsWillingness to work on any shift and additional hours on occasion as requiredEffective written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills using PowerpointStrong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other softwareAutomotive or manufacturing experience preferredCOMPENSATION & PERKS:$70,000 - $80,000 / year (depending on experience)Competitive comprehensive benefit plan including health, group RRSP with a company match, company lease programs, etcMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
