Are you a skilled CNC machinist with experience in precision grinding? We are seeking a CNC Universal Grinder to perform external and internal grinding operations on metallic components, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and customer quality expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Universal Grinders to achieve required dimensions and finishes
- Interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and programs to determine machining requirements
- Mount, dress, and select appropriate grinding wheels for each operation
- Load CNC programs into machine controls and verify machining dimensions against blueprints
- Secure components using magnetic chucks or jigs for accurate grinding operations
- Perform grinding to final dimensions, ensuring tasks are completed within specified run times
- Conduct minor preventative maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
- Monitor machine performance, detecting issues such as worn or damaged grinding wheels
- Collaborate with team leaders and colleagues to meet timelines and resolve discrepancies
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Maintain compliance with ISO standards, Job Instruction Sheets, and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a precision machining or grinding environment
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints and process sheets
- Experience setting up and operating CNC Universal Grinders preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot minor machining issues
- Knowledge of ISO standards and safe work practices
