Role Overview The successful candidate will report to the Health & Safety Manager and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Corebuild's Health & Safety policies and procedures. This includes supporting the development of protected work procedures, claims management, incident investigations, workplace inspections, employee training, and ownership over the companies safety software. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career health and safety professional looking to grow within a dynamic construction environment.

Key Accountabilities

· Assist the Health & Safety Manager in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Corebuild's Health & Safety policies and procedures.

· Participate in the development and delivery of safety training programs for field and office staff.

· Maintain and organize documentation pertaining to safety training files and records.

· Maintain and update the Health & Safety manual as new policies and practices are implemented.

· Conduct and/or assist in the health and safety onboarding orientation of newly hired employees.

· Assist management in outlining safe operational procedures that identify and remedy relevant hazards.

· Manage and order Health & Safety supplies and inventory.

· Track subcontractor health and safety required submittal documents for projects and sites.





· Assist management with conducting workplace hazard assessments.

· Support incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and claims management processes.

· Perform regular workplace inspections and document findings.

· Track and support the development of training metrics and reporting.

· Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Post-secondary diploma, certificate, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.

· 0 to 3 years of experience in a health and safety role; experience in a construction environment is an asset.

· Working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and related legislation.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and consistent records.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities on short notice.

· Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Self-directed and self-motivated, demonstrating professionalism, strong ethics, and a commitment to a team-first approach.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.

· Valid Class G driver's license required.

· COR Auditing experience considered an asset.

· Experience with Safetyloop or other H&S; management platforms considered an asset.

· Certified Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) membership or training considered an asset.

Total Rewards

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $55,000-$67,000 per year. In addition to salary, we also offer employer paid benefits, personal days, wellness benefit,

Compensation is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, total years of experience, industry experience, education, and professional designations.
