Your Opportunity

The town of High Level is located in northern Alberta, Canada and is a few hours from the border of Northwest Territories. There are plenty of things to do, be it enjoying one of four community parks, visiting the museum and visitor centre, partaking in recreational community planning, or taking in the bountiful nature that surrounds this quiet town. We are looking for an individual who is registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs (CLHA) who is empathic, professional and looking to serve in our Long Term Care facility. This casual position allows the successful candidate to support long term care residents in the community on an as-needed basis, the perfect complement to those managing other jobs/life commitments while giving back to the community and earning an income. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Northern Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $6,300.

This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. Eligible employees will be reimbursed for the cost of one (1) round trip, per calendar year, to any destination within Alberta.

Travel must originate from a community above the 57th parallel to any destination within Alberta and cannot be carried over.
