Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School English Teacher to inspire and guide students through their literary and language arts journey. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging lesson plans, support diverse learners—including those with disabilities—and contribute to a vibrant educational environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver engaging English language arts lessons aligned with curriculum standards
- Incorporate instructional design principles to create effective lesson plans that cater to varied learning styles
- Use Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress and manage instructional materials
- Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs and those requiring additional support
- Facilitate tutoring sessions to reinforce learning and address individual student challenges
- Assess student work regularly through writing assignments,



reading comprehension exercises, and tests
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Qualifications
- Proven Canadian classroom experience teaching high school English or related subjects
- Strong communication skills for effective instruction and student engagement
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is preferred
- Knowledge of LMS platforms for instructional management and tracking progress
- Background in early childhood education or experience working with children is advantageous
- Familiarity with instructional design, tutoring techniques, and curriculum development in language arts and math
- Excellent writing skills for creating transparent lesson plans, assessments, and feedback

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
