Not only is the department responsible for managing over 18,000 kilometers of provincial highways, it also manages the planning, design and construction of hospitals, schools and other government buildings.

What you will do

Reporting to the Maintenance Technician, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- supervising a small, specialized crew;

- maintaining and placement of highway signs;

- operating and maintaining equipment, sign truck and auger;

- ordering and installation of proper highway signs in accordance with pre-established standards;

- maintaining the sign system already in place.

Work environment:

- Office location: Edmundston.

- Standard hours of work: Monday – Friday.

- Work occasionally on holidays,



weekends, shift and/or variable hours as needed.

- Work in adverse road and weather conditions.

- Some travel within the province will be required.

Essential Qualifications:

- Graduation from high school or GED.

- Minimum of three (3) years of work-related experience.

- One (1) year supervisory experience.

- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with endorsement for air brakes issued by the Province of Recent Brunswick.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

SALARY:

Highway Signs Supervisor: $31.74 per hour, based on a 40- hour week.
