Position Summary

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming workplace for our senior residents. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and has a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for seniors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cleaning and Sanitizing:
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furniture are kept clean and free from dust, dirt, and debris.
- Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.

- Laundry Services:

- Manage the collection, washing, drying, and returning of residents’ personal laundry and linens.




- Ensure proper handling and care of residents' garments to avoid damage.

- Waste Management:

- Empty and dispose of trash and recycling in designated areas.
- Follow proper protocols for the disposal of hazardous waste materials.

- Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely and store them according to regulatory guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel immediately.

- Resident Interaction:

- Maintain a respectful and friendly demeanour when interacting with residents.
- Be attentive to the needs and preferences of residents, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

- Communicate any resident concerns or requests to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or residential setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

7 AM- 3 PM; 3 PM - 11 PM; 11 PM- 7 AM, Monday to Sunday
