Position Summary
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will provide strategic advice and proactive human resources partnership to leaders within a national business function(s) and will be responsible for driving people-focused solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals. The HRBP partners closely with leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness, build leadership capability, and support a positive, high-performance culture. This is an prospect to leverage your HR expertise, business and financial acumen, strategic thinking, coaching and influencing skills, and change management knowledge to partner with leaders in solving complex people challenges and opportunities that support LifeLabs’ success.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
Vacancy status: This posting is for an existing position. What You’ll Do:
Strategic Partnership and Consultative Problem Solving: Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing insights, strategic and consultative advice, and coaching on people matters.
Partner with leaders to understand business priorities, identify people implications, and translate those priorities into integrated HR strategies and solutions.
Identify emerging people issues and trends to inform decision-making.
Break down problems and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations, partnering with HR Centres of Expertise as required.
Assess people and organizational issues, balancing business priorities, employee considerations, organizational risk, and HR policy to develop and recommend appropriate solutions.
Enable the People Strategy and Deliver the HR Plan: Partner with business leaders in delivering the People and Culture strategy, executing the strategy and plan in alignment with broader HR and Centre of Expertise (COE) teams.
Guide, coach,
and lead delivery within assigned business functions of Corporate HR initiatives, including DEI, Performance, Talent, and Engagement.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities and participate in HR projects.
Strategic Employee and Labour Relations: Partner with the Employee and Labour Relations team to support the success of ER/LR programs and initiatives.
With guidance from the ER/LR team, address complex employee relations issues within assigned business functions.
Partner with the ER/LR team to ensure findings from investigations are understood by business leaders, implementation plans are developed in partnership with groups across HR, and results and impacts are assessed.
Talent and Workforce Planning: Work with partners across HR to develop and implement integrated talent strategies and solutions to support the business in attracting, developing, and retaining the talent needed to meet current and future business needs and address key talent priorities.
Support leaders in building employee capabilities and enabling team performance.
Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
Lead workforce planning efforts to ensure the right talent is in place to support future business needs.
Employee Experience and Culture: Champion Corporate HR culture and employee experience initiatives and partner with the Talent and Engagement team to identify and incorporate the specific needs of business functions.
Partner with leaders to drive engagement action planning.
Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership practices.
Organizational
Development & Change Management: Identify, assess, develop, and evaluate overall business impacts, risks, and change management strategies associated with achieving business plans.
Develop, design, and lead organizational and work redesign efforts for business units.
Identify change management strategies that enhance adoption and minimize disruption.
What You'll Bring: 5–7 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience.
University degree.
Proven track record of building relationships with leaders, with the ability to provide robust recommendations, coach, influence, and drive change.
Well-developed consulting skills with strong problem identification and resolution capabilities.
Experience using data and analysis to generate insights that support decision-making.
Strategic thinker with demonstrated business and financial acumen.
Experience with organizational design, talent management, and change management.
Strong communication skills with experience communicating with senior leaders.
Experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.

What We Offer
Salary range: $96,255 – $122,727 CAD annually (commensurate with experience).
