We are seeking a professional, organized, and people-focused Part-Time HR Manager to support the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. This role combines remote work with in-office responsibilities and is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, policy administration, performance management, compliance, and general HR operations, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Manage employee records, HR documentation, and confidential personnel files
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, workplace policies, and company procedures
- Assist with updating and implementing HR policies and employee handbooks
- Support payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee leave tracking
- Track employee vacation balances, sick days, personal days, and other time-off requests
- Maintain accurate attendance and leave records
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate job postings, resume screening, interviews, and hiring processes
- Conduct onboarding and orientation for new employees
- Support managers with hiring strategies and workforce planning
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and workplace concerns
- Support conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment
- Coordinate and conduct annual employee performance reviews
- Assist managers with performance improvement plans and employee development initiatives
- Support employee engagement and retention efforts
Offboarding & Compliance
- Coordinate employee offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation
- Ensure proper collection of company property and removal of system access for departing employees
- Maintain compliance with workplace regulations and HR best practices
- Support workplace investigations and documentation when required
Operational Support
- Partner with management on HR planning and organizational initiatives
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate internal records
- Coordinate training, health & safety requirements, and compliance programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or management role
- Strong knowledge of employment standards and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software
- CHRP designation required
Position Details
- Part-time position (20 hours per week)
