TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair and maintenance service provider for Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base.

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to fill a temporary contract role (approx 15-month contract) in our Airdrie depot location.

Summary

Reporting to the Team Lead, Advisory and Talent (TL) the Human Resources Coordinator will collaborate with hiring leaders to manage end-to-end recruitment for designated roles. The focus will be on coordinating and conducting interviews, managing candidate communications, maintaining recruitment systems, and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience. As the Human Resources Coordinator gains experience and develops a deeper understanding of the company's talent needs, this position will support technical hiring by sourcing candidates, while also taking on additional general HR responsibilities. This position is a temporary approximately 15-month contract targeting an end date of December 18, 2027.

Duties

Duties may include but will not be limited to the following:

- Source and recruit candidates for open positions using various recruitment tools and platforms.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Post and manage job advertisements on platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
- Screen resumes and identify qualified candidates.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews and assist with interview preparation.
- Participate in interviews and provide recruitment support to hiring teams.
- Provide regular updates to HR leadership on recruitment activities and open positions.




- Assist with employment offers and candidate communications.
- Support recruitment programs and special hiring initiatives as assigned.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and employee offboarding activities.
- Provide backup support for employee lifecycle transactions, including transfers, promotions, leaves, compensation changes, and terminations.
- Prepare employment-related documentation, including offer letters, employment agreements, and employee correspondence.
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- Administer and maintain HR systems and employee data.
- Build positive working relationships with hiring managers, employees, and the HR team.
- Provide back-up support for new hire orientation and other HR functions as required.
- Provide backup support to the HR Assistant and Team Lead roles for vacation or various out-of-office requirements.
- Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers.
- Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE.
- Other duties as directed by TL or DHR.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HR Administration, HR Coordination, Talent Acquisition, or Recruitment role.
- Strong knowledge of human resources practices, employment legislation,



and HR processes.
- Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), preferably UKG Pro, and workforce management systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Robust organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a solid commitment to accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to provide a high level of service and support to hiring managers, employees, and candidates.
- Ability to work independently, multitask effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience using recruitment platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
