Job Title: HR Analyst (HRIS)
Location: Montreal, QC
Duration: August 20, 2026 to February 19, 2027
Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Analyst (HRIS) to support HR technology, data management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between HR stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and enhancement of HR systems while maintaining high standards of data integrity and compliance.
This role requires robust expertise in HRIS platforms, reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration & Support
- Provide advanced support for HRIS applications and related systems.
- Troubleshoot system issues, data discrepancies, and interface failures.
- Partner with HR, IT, and business teams to resolve system-related challenges.
- Assist with system configurations, upgrades, enhancements, and testing activities.
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including hires, transfers, and terminations.
Project & Process Improvement
- Participate in HRIS projects from requirements gathering through implementation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements.
- Support Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities, including analysis, testing, and deployment.
- Assist in managing project priorities and enhancement requests.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that optimize HR processes and user experience.
Data Management & Reporting
- Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot PeopleSoft queries and reports.
- Perform data audits, reconciliations, and validation activities to ensure data accuracy.
- Support complex data uploads and system integrations.
- Generate reports and analytics to support business decision-making.
- Maintain data governance standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years of HRIS experience.
- Strong experience supporting HRIS platforms, preferably PeopleSoft HCM.
- Experience with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and system support.
- Hands-on experience with software testing and SDLC methodologies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience developing, enhancing, and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Queries.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and operational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and quality standards.
- Experience working in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience with HR data integrations, payroll, and compensation systems.
- Project management experience is an asset.
- Experience working within large, complex corporate environments.
- Knowledge of the banking or financial services industry is a plus.
