As an active supervisor responsibilities include; operating heavy and mobile equipment.What You Will DoOversee the work product of Labourers and Operators by:Assign substitute labourer(s) / Operator(s) to areas where a primary Labourer/Operator is absentInstruct Labourers / Operators on the proper mobile and heavy equipment and various hand and power toolsEnsure staff are informed of any change in policies and proceduresCommunicate with Management on issues of staff attendance and performanceTrain and supervise Labourer and Operator staff as neededWorking both indoors and outdoors throughout the grounds and various facilities both on-site and off-site by:Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas; using snow blowers, snow shovels and spreading ice-meltClear debris and snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areasMaintenance of green areas such as watering of foliage, rototilling, grooming wood chips and trees/shrubs, weeding,
etcEnsure maintenance of the grounds by:Keep walkways cleanClean parking lot drainsBuilding round conceptsRequisitioning and purchasing of materialsVacancy cleanupFurniture installationInspection of propertiesProvide excellent customer service both internally and externallyProblem SolveAssist with the move, set-up and tear down equipment for various events by:Assist with general labourer duties including but not limited to; move, set up and tear down of equipment for various events, as directed by the ManagerOrganize and secure stored materials and assetsOrganize all work detail (work performed, service recommendations, etc.) and complete accurate work for billing and payroll purposes. Submit all paperwork to the Assistant Manager within 48 hours of completion of each day's workObserve additional maintenance needs requiring attention and report those to the Manager, Assistant Manager, and PlannerProvide guidance in regard to occupational health and safety when completing certain tasks with Labourers and OperatorsOperating various machinery to move materials around various locations on grounds by:Assist equipment operators to properly secure attachments to equipment or trucksPerform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that all machines continue to run smoothlyUse tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws,drills, and wrenchesPerform routine post and pre-inspections to ensure suitable working nature ofequipmentPerforming other duties as required by Manager, Assistant Manager or Planner.Wage:
