We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Designer / Design Drafter to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, technically skilled in SolidWorks, and passionate about turning concepts into accurate, production-ready designs. You’ll work closely with our design, engineering, and production teams to create accurate drawings and 3D models that support manufacturing and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
- Interpret design concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings
- Maintain and organize CAD files, revisions, and documentation
- Ensure all designs meet company standards, manufacturing requirements, and quality expectations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and improve designs
- Assist in prototyping, testing, and design iteration processes
- Identify and resolve design inconsistencies or issues proactively
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience in sheet metal, weldments, or assemblies
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of other CAD software or rendering tools
- Experience with 3D printing
- Experience with CNC machining
