Company Description Testrium is a North American technical services company specializing in accredited product testing, design and manufactures custom vibration fixtures and durability tester equipment. The organization supports municipal governments, engineering consulting firms, infrastructure contractors, and manufacturers in aerospace, defence, automotive, and rail, where accuracy and compliance are critical. Testrium holds ISO 17025 accreditation across a broad scope, including mechanical properties testing for plastics, composites, and metals, environmental testing to MIL-STD-810, and automotive performance standards.
Role Description
- Design & Innovate: Create 3D CAD models and production drawings for high-performance vibration fixtures, holding fixtures, and custom durability testers.
- Manage Projects: Take charge of testing program timelines from intake to delivery. Coordinate fixture fabrication schedules and act as the primary point of contact for client status updates.
- Execute Physical Testing: Set up and run agile vibration shakers, mechanical shock systems, and environmental chambers. Configure multi-channel data acquisition (DAQ) setups with accelerometers and thermocouples.
- Maintain Quality Systems: Maintain equipment in good working order, calibrating test equipment, follow ISO 17025 quality standard requirement.
- Analyze & Report: Interpret complex test data and author comprehensive engineering validation reports for our clients.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design, with the ability to apply engineering principles to practical design tasks.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed 2D and 3D models and production-ready drawings.
- Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D;), including supporting prototype development, testing, and design optimization.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering standards, specifications, and test requirements; familiarity with ISO or similar quality systems is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document designs and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in testing, manufacturing, or regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, infrastructure) is considered an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
