Standard
Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.
Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance.
Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
The Successful Candidate Will Contribute To The River Class Destroyer (RCD) Land Based Test Facility (LBTF) Project As a Member Of The Range Services Integration Test And Evaluation (IT&E;) Team Conducting The Following Activities
- Development and/or review of shipboard/Shore-based Test and Trials (T&T;); including Set-To-Work (STW), Integration Testing, Harbour Acceptance Trials (HATs), Sea Acceptance Trials (SATs), and Operational Test & Evaluation
- Conduct post installation inspections and commissioning of equipment
- Develop and execute test documentation to verify the functionality of the integrated software/systems
- Document test results in the Test Management System
- Conduct defect reporting and documentation
- Conduct Test Report reviews to include data collection analysis results and report findings as necessary to key stakeholders
- Support planning and the execution of the Acceptance activities
- Support with the development of Contract Data Requirement Listings (CDRLs)
- Support the development and maintenance of Test Sequence Network (TSN) and Time Phased Test Sequence Network (TPTSN)
- Implementation of Model Based Testing (MBT) methodology and traceability
- Participate in training activities and acquire knowledge of complex warfare systems
Basic Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant military/civilian technical experience
- Experience in I&T;
- Ability to accommodate a versatile work schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
- Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
- Demonstrate an ethical, respectful, and collaborative approach, contributing positively to a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be able to obtain a North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security Clearance in a timely manner
Desired Skills
- Experience in Combat Management System 330 (CMS 330) operation is considered an asset
- Integration and Test (I&T;) experience including understanding of Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM)
- Familiarity with IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
- Familiarity with Cameo
- Familiarity with I&T; processes
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
- Familiarity with software development and test
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Familiarity with Linux
- Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Windchill
- Familiarity with Scheduling
- Experience in reviewing technical documentation
