POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for Managing the Four Step Encore Battery Reconditioning Process. This position will report to the Branch Manager.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Manage the Four Step Encore Reconditioning Process: Triage, Capacity Recover, Load Testing, and Refinishing and Packaging.
- Plan and manage the time required to profitably recondition the batteries at the branch location. Continuously review the reconditioning process and make improvement recommendations.
- Communicate work schedule, product status, and inventory updates to Branch and Corporate teams.
- Perform safety, operational tests, warranty repairs on batteries and quote repair costs as required.
- Process paperwork and document data.
- Keep Encore Battery area clean, organized, and have items all appropriately labeled and staged in the designated areas.
- Oversee the Encore battery inventory and ensure the batteries are cycled watered and up to safety and customer standards.
- Maintain all required equipment supplied with operation.
- Perform the monthly battery inventory count.
- Complete all training as assigned.
- Other related duties as required.
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service trucks.
- Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Mechanical aptitude. Able to read and understand service manuals, and AC and DC wiring diagrams.
- Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, power tools, torch, and types of testing equipment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with excellent planning and follow-through.
- Self-starter with good organizational, customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Industry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
