Northern Health is seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Coordinator to join our team at the Fort Nelson Health Unit. About the Role
Reporting to the Manager or designate, the LPN Coordinator is responsible for:
- Providing first-line supervision to LPN nursing staff and unregulated care staff
- Coordinating daily staffing assignments and workflow on the unit(s)
- Scheduling staff and adjusting assignments as needed
- Monitoring and evaluating staff performance to ensure quality care outcomes
- Providing nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and BCCNM Standards of Practice
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and civil environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff
This Fort Nelson-based position will:
- Supervise Unregulated Care Aides
- Provide care related to Immunizations
- Complete Community RAI Assessments
Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program
- Two (2)
years of recent related clinical and/or supervisory experience in a community health setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related travel
