Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Long Haul Truck Driver role based in Edmonton, AB. The driver will operate heavy trucks to transport various types of freight across long distances, including specialized, oversized, and over-dimensional loads, following assigned routes and schedules. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; securing and tarping loads; coordinating loading and unloading; and maintaining accurate logbooks and shipping documentation.

The driver will follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations, communicate regularly with dispatch, and represent the company professionally with customers and at delivery locations.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess a valid Class 1 or AZ (or equivalent commercial driver’s license) with a clean driving record.
- Candidates should possess strong truck driving skills, including experience with long-haul operations and handling heavy or specialized equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in safe unloading and load securement, including tarping, tying down, and handling oversized or high-value freight.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and applicable transportation safety standards.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with truck inspection, basic maintenance checks, and use of electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Ability to work independently for extended periods, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing weather and road conditions.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, customers, and team members; ability to complete clear paperwork and digital records.
- Previous long-haul or heavy-haul experience is preferred; experience with step deck, flatbed, RGN, or Conestoga equipment is an asset.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including climbing, lifting, and securing loads, in compliance with safety guidelines.
