Role Description This full-time, on-site M2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer role at Nolinor Aviation is based in Edmonton, AB. The engineer is responsible for performing and certifying maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on transport and commuter category aircraft in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and structural issues, completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensuring accurate documentation in maintenance records and logs.
The role involves coordinating with maintenance teams, flight operations, and other technical staff to prioritize work, maintain safety standards, and minimize aircraft downtime. The engineer also participates in continuous improvement initiatives, adheres to health and safety policies, and supports training and mentoring of other maintenance personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Transport Canada M2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license with demonstrated experience working on transport and commuter category aircraft.
- Strong technical proficiency in airframe, powerplant, and aircraft systems maintenance, including troubleshooting, inspections, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer manuals and regulatory standards.
- Sound knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), maintenance control procedures, and safety management systems, with a commitment to safe working practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and engineering documentation, and to complete transparent, accurate maintenance records and logbook entries.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, and flight crews in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing operational requirements.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call assignments, as required by operational needs.
- High school diploma required; completion of an approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program or equivalent technical training is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in commercial or charter aviation maintenance operations is an asset; experience with Nolinor Aviation fleet types is considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including standing, lifting, working at heights, and performing tasks in varying environmental conditions.
