Position Summary

Garden Isle Farms is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler & Grader to join our Operations team in Albany, PEI. This position plays an important role in ensuring our potatoes meet the highest quality standards before packaging and shipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality, and defects, while working closely with fellow team members in a fast-paced production environment. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and remove potatoes with defects, damage, disease, greening, or other quality concerns.

· Ensure all products meet customer and company specifications before packaging.

· Handle and move product safely throughout the grading and packaging process.

· Maintain consistent quality control standards while meeting production targets.

· Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with food safety requirements.

· Follow company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.

· Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support efficient operations.

· Assist with other operational duties as required.

Qualifications





· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.

· Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

· Able to lift and move materials as required.

· Previous experience in agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, or quality inspection is considered an asset, but not required.
