Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and shipment of materials within our facility. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will ensure smooth operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Successful candidate will pick goods from warehouse and or plant floor using proper equipment to fill customer orders; proficient working with scanning guns

· Capable of safely operating a fork truck and loading transport trucks

· Assembles shipping paperwork and completes computer input – ‘Visual’ computer experience is a definite asset

· Identify and confirm correct parts are being shipping according to the customer order

· Visually inspect products/parts that are being shipped as the last point of quality assurance

· Ensures that warehouse and staging area is maintained, clean and organized at all times

· Work with Shipper to prep and band orders

· Follows all company safety policies and procedures; completes daily lift truck inspections

· Assist with cycle counting

· Performs other duties as requested

· Hours are Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 4:30 pm

Qualifications:

· 2 - 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing shipping/receiving department is an asset

· Must have strong attendance, be dependable and highly motivated

· Basic math and counting skills are required as well as possessing good computer skills





· Must have high attention to details, immediate deadlines and able to follow written and verbal instructions

· Previous fork truck certification/experience is a must

· Must be able to handle a fast paced environment and comfortable with computer/hand held shipping scanners

· Can prioritize and multi-task efficiently, good organizational skills, problem solving and time management skills

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment or individually

· Good physical capability as some lifting is required and a “can do” attitude is a definite asset

Requirements:

· Must be able to wear prescribed PPE that the company requires safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots/shoes and respiratory protection (depending upon job) etc.

· Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety rules and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· A valid driver’s license or transportation required, as we are located in Cathcart ON, 10 minutes East of Woodstock and 10 minutes West of Burford, and not on a bus route.
