We are seeking a proactive and organized Materials Coordinator to support our manufacturing operations through effective inventory management, shipping and receiving, material handling, and production support. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, issuing materials to production, receiving incoming shipments, and ensuring parts and supplies are available when needed to support production requirements.

What You’ll Do
- Load, unload, and move products, materials, and equipment.
- Receive incoming shipments and purchase orders and issue materials/parts to production personnel based on production requirements.
- Perform other activities such as assisting with inventory counts and weighing/checking materials.
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure orders are placed on time, materials are delivered on time, and materials are stored properly.
- Inspect incoming materials for defects or quality issues and investigate quantity or quality discrepancies related to received products, materials, and equipment.
- Perform other warehouse and inventory-related duties such as counting, weighing, and sorting.
- Put away received materials in the appropriate storage locations.
- Confirm that inventory transactions are completed accurately.
- Participate in housekeeping, cleanup, and maintenance activities as required.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure the appropriate quantities of materials are available when needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in materials coordination, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to accurately receive, verify, and record incoming materials and inventory transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials and work in both office and warehouse/manufacturing environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle assembly, fabrication, or a related industry.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, and procurement processes.
- Experience receiving, tracking, storing, and issuing materials within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs), production requirements, and material planning.
- Experience inspecting materials and resolving quantity or quality discrepancies with suppliers.

- Strong understanding of inventory control, material handling, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with solid attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve inventory, receiving, and material-related issues.
- Ability to accurately issue materials to production and maintain inventory records.
Physical Requirements
- Moderate physical activity, including bending, lifting, reaching, and twisting.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs.).
Working Conditions
This role operates within a manufacturing environment and involves shipping/receiving duties and hands-on inventory management within the Parts Room. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams and shipping/receiving personnel to maintain material availability and support uninterrupted production. The position requires the ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage changing production demands in a fast-paced environment.
