Kells students come from all corners both of Montreal and of the world. They represent a variety of cultures and cultural perspectives. Responsibilities
- Teach four sections of mathematics at the secondary 1-5 level in accordance with and enhancing provincial standards
- Understand and apply the curriculum objectives, protocols and culture of Kells Academy
- Complete cafeteria, arrival, dismissal and other student supervisions as assigned
- Attend and contribute to team and faculty meetings
- Attend required school events beyond the school day, such as Open House and parent-teacher interviews
- Take advantage of career development opportunities
- Communicate regularly with administration, parents and students regarding student progress
- Complete other duties as assigned by the school principal
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or in education; Master’s preferred
- Strong teaching background, including training and experience, in math education
- Successful experience working with a diverse student population
- Holding a Quebec teaching license or eligible for one
Schedule and Accountability
- Full-time workload (approx. 100%)
- Start date Monday, August 24th
- Most responsibilities will take place during the regular school day (8:00 am - 4:00 pm)
- The full-time mathematics teacher will report to the principal
