Join TEAM GREEN at GFL Environmental and become our newest part-time Transfer Station Attendant in Red Deer County, AB ! Thursday & Saturday from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM and 3 hours on some Wednesdays.

The Transfer Station

Attendant oversees daily site operations, handles customer transactions, inspects incoming waste, and operates heavy equipment to manage the tipping floor and load transport trailers.

Opening & Closing Duties: Open gates, set up payment registers, and perform pre-shift safety checks. At end of shift, reconcile cash drawers, secure buildings/containers, and lock facility gates.

Load Screening & Traffic Control: Reject hazardous/prohibited materials and safely direct traffic on the tipping floor.

Cash & Fee Processing: Loading Walking Floors: Use a Bobcat skid steer to top-load waste efficiently into walking-floor trailers to legal weight limits.





Site Maintenance & Safety: Perform pre-use equipment checks, maintain PPE standards, and perform routine cleanup (sweeping, litter pick-up, snow removal).

Experience: 1+ years operating heavy equipment (Skid Steer) and cash-handling experience.

Reliable Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to ensure punctual arrival for all scheduled shifts. ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
