Position Summary
Lytton Health Services has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Medical Office Assistant to join their team in Lytton, B.C.
Hours of work are Rotating, Days, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of medical office assistant and clerical duties such as registering patients, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Answer telephones, general correspondence,
record keeping, chart notes, reports, medical billings.
- Data entry and word processing, graphic and database applications.
- Compile and enter statistical information.
- Write correspondence including recording, transcribing and typing forms.
- Balance and check revenue transactions.
- Manage medical/surgical supplies and equipment and other resource material.
- Escort patients to examination/treatment rooms and ensure appropriate instruments, procedure trays or other supplies are set up.
- Attend sensitive examination procedures and treatments; routine measurements such as weight, BMI calculations, eye exams, urinalysis.
- Clean and sterilize medical equipment and instruments as well as deliver and dispose of supplies, biological material and equipment.
Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant course from an accredited community college.
- Two years recent related experience in a health care setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Driver’s License as required.
- Completion of an administered 5 minute typing certificate of 40 wpm in the last 24 months from an approved institution (non-supervised tests are not accepted).
